Residential School Trauma

The Residential School Trauma Workshop covers all the impacts of residential schools and how they have deeply affected our people’s hearts, minds, spirits, emotions, behaviours, beliefs, parenting, relationships, ability to give and receive love, our way of life, and connection to the land.

We have always known that healing begins when we reconnect with the land. Barbara teaches simple prayers and personal practices that help participants rebuild their spirit and strengthen their connection to the land.

This four-day workshop provides historical context for understanding why our people were taken away from who they truly are. It also explores the spiritual meanings behind that disconnection and the purpose of separating powerfully gifted people from their source of strength: their own spirit and relationship with the land.

Advanced teachings on healing the brain, thoughts and beliefs with self-correction, and identifying outdated belief systems are also included in the workshop. Participants will learn simple teachings and practical tools to help shift out of old beliefs and create healthier patterns moving forward.

The workshop will include a variety of hands-on healing techniques, facilitated group activities, and foundational homework assignments designed to support participants in continuing their personal healing journey after the workshop has concluded.

Barbara will invite a Traditional Healer to assist with the workshop and provide additional support for participants’ spiritual safety and well-being. The helper’s fee is included in the quote.
